“Multiple heirs/siblings and everyone wants a plan”

“You want updates + photos so you’re not guessing”

“You don’t want strangers ‘popping by’ the property”

FAQ section

Do I have to list the house with you to use this service?

No! Some families aren’t ready to list the property or already have a listing agent in the family. Flock can provide the transition service only to get the property ready.

Can you help if I live out of state?

Absolutely! This is one of the main reasons that we created this service. When we inherited our dad’s house out-of-state, we had no idea who to call for this kind of help.

How do you handle valuables / important documents?

With care and patience. Before we start our service, it is recommended that you take anything valuable or important and set it aside or out of the house. If we come across items that look valuable or important, we will set them aside and document our actions.

Do you do estate sales?

We are not an estate sale company. We have a relationship with an estate sale company if you would like one brought in. However, we can sell large items and various items through for sale sites should you decide not to have an estate sale.

How do you keep the property secure while work is happening?

There will be a lockbox placed at the property. The property transition manager will have access to the lockbox. All doors will be checked every day to ensure that they are secured.

How long does the process take?

That depends on how big of the job. Estimate 3-4 weeks.

How much does this cost?

We charge based on what needs to be done at the property. After the walkthrough, we will provide you with an estimate. If there is ever a reason for an additional charge, it will always be discussed first before proceeding. A 50% down payment is taken upfront and the remainder is paid within in 1 week of the work being completed.

What if multiple heirs need to approve decisions?

We recommend to have the big decisions already made before we start our service. Once we start selling items and clearing out the property, it can’t be undone. We can provide the initial scope of repairs for approval.

What if we decide to sell later?

Great! Flock & Company Real Estate would be more than happy to help you.
